Fort to Sea

Another amazing day.

Fort to Sea trail is a wonderful, but long hike. I think all said and done it was 6 1/2 miles. We started at 11:00 when Doyle dropped all of us off at the fort side of the trail. We finished at 1:30 not bad for a few slow walkers.

We all look so happy.

There were allot of little bridges along the way.
It was wonderful to be in the middle of a forest nobody around.



A few years ago the beach area had a HUGE wind storm. This would be a tree that couldn't hold on any longer. This is the root base.



Many tree's had fallen also. This was one of several on the trail. They decided not to clean them up and I'm glad. It just adds to the uniqueness of the scenery.



Oh and many of these little guys.



There was no strangers around so we had to prop the camera up for a group shot. We are missing a few that just couldn't stand to walk so slow....Just kidding. We said hey older kids why don't you just take off and we will tend to the youngens.

They have a nice potty place at this point. Little out house in the middle of no ware.

I'm sure a lady thought of that ;)

OK so the cow's. Here is the sign that greats you at the entrance to the cow pasture. Tari and I both looked at each other like are you serious.....





So just as few cows, and for the most part they are in a fence area. Well except the crossing parts, we just ran. OK not really. We just made sure the kids were close and we hurried them along.

Don't worry we already have plans for the next outing. Oh man why does school have to start. Oh that's right So Tari and I can have a MOM'S outing all by ourselves ;)
