Our Big Bus

When Doyle is out of town I try to make dinner simple. Tonight the kids voted on left overs. Sounds easy to me. Better yet they offered to cook it too. So as I sit at the computer 2 feet away from the stove studying for a lesson I need to present. I have all the kids looking over my shoulder. We talk about the subjects and have a great time.....

THEN Mikalah says "something is on fire" What!!!

They were so helpful they had all the burners going and the pot holder close by to use if they needed it. Well this time it was a bit too close and now it is toast.

So after opening all the doors and windows we finally got the smoke out of the house and had dinner. I guess I know what I should put on my Birthday list......

The best part is I stayed calm and walked the mit over to the sink and soaked it.....

Every day we count our blessings. Tonight I'm thankful that we didn't have a kitchen fire. Not something I want to deal with ever.
